About the position:
At The Good Shepherd Community Clinic, Inc. our medical office schedulers play a crucial role in facilitating efficient patient care by managing appointments, communication, and administrative tasks within the clinic.

Knowledge and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Fluent in Spanish preferred
- Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills are a must.
- Highly motivated, well-organized and detail oriented.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and exceptional customer service with a diverse patient population
- Ability to communicate written and orally
RESPONSIBILITIES
Exceptional Customer Service
- Greet patients in a friendly and pleasant manner using excellent customer service
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients
- Professionally answer, return, and forward telephone calls, emails, and faxes.
- Take and distribute messages to appropriate staff using the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Perform duties in an independent manner with support from the Patient Access Team Lead
- Educate patients regarding The Clinics guidelines and appropriate documents
- Schedule appointments for patients
- Must be adept in working within the schedule portion of the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Review schedule daily to ensure all appointment needs are met
- Maintain departmental day-to-day office operations, monitor, and prioritize workflow, provider schedules and efficient patient workflow
- Listen to the patients needs and find a solution that is right for them
- Make patient appointment reminder calls
- Insurance Card & Demographic Capture/Update
- Provide interpreting services and ensure patient confidentiality
- Assist with cleaning duties and document preparation
- Collaborate with the team to ensure excellent patient care
- Adhere to clinic policies and procedures
