Your primary responsibilities will include performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading plant processing, packaging, and filling line equipment. Additionally, you will serve as a technical resource to various departments within the organization.
  • Repairing gear heads, reducers, and various piping systems.
  • Installing and troubleshooting components such as seals, bearings, o-rings, and belts.
  • Welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
  • Performing basic wiring, electrical repairs, and replacing lighting fixtures.
  • Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Conducting repairs on production equipment and utility systems.
  • Troubleshooting complex high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA, and company regulations.
About the Maintenance Mechanic: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training is a plus
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role in an industrial setting
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in welding, electrical work, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a solid understanding of equipment operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, or extended hours based on business needs
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to prioritize workplace safety
  • Must be flexible to meet business needs and work occasional overtime, weekend or extended hours.
