Make an Impact as an Documents Management Verification Specialist (Bilingual)

The Documents Management Verification Specialist is required to verify the first level of eligibility determination for childcare assistance. This will include, but is not limited to, validating eligibility documents, providing feedback and follow-up with customers regarding what is needed to complete their application or recertification, timely routing of work to the Eligibility Specialists for completion and effectively identifying and routing customer suspected fraud to the Compliance Unit. Interactions and communication between all work units and customers will be a critical aspect to this position. Work must be routed within the required timeframe to ensure that all other areas can properly complete the actions within the contracted requirement.

Position Details

Responsibilities

  • Determines/verifies the first level of eligibility by screening eligibility documents.
  • Adheres to state and local policies, and accurately determines eligibility based on confidential financial documentation.
  • Communicates with the customer and other work units about what is needed when necessary.
  • Processes notices to the customer when the documentation is not complete within the required timeframe.
  • Routes documentation to the Eligibility Specialist within the required timeframe when the verification process is complete.
  • Enters data into the state database as required.
  • Interprets and communicates state and local policies and procedures to customers in an understandable manner.
  • Educates new customers coming into program.
  • Offers solutions for other related issues customers might be facing – example; if they are not eligible, offer other alternatives.
  • Must be a team player and be able to work independently and take initiative
  • Performs other duties as assigned and will provide back up support to team members.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual- English and Spanish required
  • Child Development experience a plus
  • Certifications, Licenses and/or Registrations
  • One to two years of experience in non-profit, government, or workforce development programs with direct experience in eligibility determination or document management
  • Ability to adapt to frequent policy changes and show flexibility
  • Ability to problem solve, think critically, and be results driven
  • Excellent task management, organization, attention to detail, time management, customer service and prioritization skills
  • Strong computer skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to accurately interpret and understand customer correspondence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prompt and regular attendance required
  • Strong business ethics and ability to promote a positive work environment
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Travel and Compliance Requirements

  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license if applicable
  • Driving record must comply with CCG's automobile insurance carrier requirements
  • Must have liability insurance coverage and reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to travel locally or out of town as required
  • Mileage reimbursement is offered when applicable
  • Must successfully meet all compliance background check requirements for federal funding throughout employment
