Job Summary:


As the Shipping Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the performance of our Fulfillment Department's shipping operations. Your responsibilities will include providing leadership to a team of shippers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and workplace standards, and fostering a culture of efficiency and collaboration. This role requires hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations, coaching and training staff, and maintaining operational excellence in shipping processes. While expertise in shipping is valued, candidates with comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations will be considered equally.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Support the shipping team in executing orders according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accurate and well-packed shipments.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks in the shipping process to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely processing and fulfillment of time-sensitive products using the Priority Fulfillment Dashboard.
  • Manage the Fulfillment Request sheet in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide clear direction and supervision to direct reports, ensuring the achievement of performance objectives.
  • Cultivate a culture of respect, teamwork, accountability, and safety throughout the warehouse, leading by example.
  • Conduct interviews with potential warehouse recruits and participate in the hiring process.
  • Supervise and guide a team of warehouse staff to achieve business outcomes and performance objectives as a unified team.
  • Enforce rigorous safety protocols and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to the Employee Code of Conduct and workplace expectations, including attendance and behavior.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within applicable work centers.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to staff within the shipping department, fostering professional growth and development.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations and how to progress towards efficiency and quality.
  • Shipping process familiarization is preferred
  • Problem solving oriented towards finding solutions both to ensure short term and long term customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data management and analysis.
