We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our Albany, NY office, specializing in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering. The role involves managerial leadership, technical leadership, and business development, focusing on innovative, clean energy, and decarbonization projects. Goals include recruiting and expanding the engineering team in the region.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with program managers, design and project teams, and construction managers.
  • Develop clean energy projects in the region.
  • Recruit and support the growth of the engineering team.
  • Mentor the regional clean energy engineering team.
  • Conduct preliminary systems assessments and develop high-level project strategies.
  • Perform field investigations and condition assessments of existing systems.
  • Assist in project and proposal preparation.
  • Develop basis of design scopes, schematics, and P&ID drawings.
  • Create implementation plans and schedules.
  • Prepare presentations and reports.
  • Meet with clients to support engineering projects throughout design and construction.


Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy engineering.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or related certifications are a plus.
  • Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering.
  • QA/QC capabilities on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Ability to lead the development of construction documents and support bidding and construction activities.
  • Experience in MEP and energy projects.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Collaboration skills with internal staff and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software is a plus.
  • Experience with building modeling software is a plus.
