The Opportunity

Michelin Connected Fleet, a subsidiary of Michelin North America, is looking for a Senior Director of Deployment. This role will be responsible for creating and sustaining a robust deployment model to effectively manage the lifecycle and execution of large-scale installation projects. The role will require cross-departmental collaboration between the Client Success, Sales, and Field Services to ensure timely project completion per the customer requirements.

The Deployment role operates within the North American Operations team and will be responsible for guiding, coaching and directing the Deployment team of Project Managers on a day-to-day basis.

The Senior Director of Deployment has authority and accountability and are responsible for formulating strategy, taking responsibility for achieving targets and decision making appropriate for their level. He/she must be highly driven to support larger customers to achieve the very best results through MCF's technologies, products and services.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee project managers guiding successful deployment projects.
  • Develop thorough project deployment templates to allow the project managers to properly engage the client.
  • Develop standardized reporting and summaries of progress, issues, and roadblocks to effectively communicate to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Build a project approach that spans departments and engages the customer at a high level.
  • Manage/monitor team capacity and project time budgets to ensure efficiency across the team and its workload.
  • Support the individual project managers with their annual and department objectives, ensuring that they develop and grow each year.
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending system improvements.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating, and training employees.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or relevant project management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale projects of similar scope.
  • Dedicated and enthusiastic client facing individual with broad ranging experience in managing large-to-small scale projects from the initial requirements-gathering phase to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement detailed project plans to monitor and track project processes. Proficient in ensuring on-time deliverables by ensuring effective coordination of resources and manpower.
  • Proven record of leading and managing projects for full lifecycle.
  • Ability to implement project methodology and documents within a project.
  • Experience in controlling project stages and monitoring progress with the ability to use tolerances to benchmark and adapt stage targets.
  • Experience performing risk management activities to minimize project risks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Problem-solving with attention to detail.
  • Must be team-oriented fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent workload and time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership, performance management and coaching skills.
  • Quality management and develop standards.
  • Ability to build internal relationships across different teams and business areas.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.
