Entry-Level Installer

Are you the type of person that enjoys working with a team, meeting new people, and delivering happiness to customers?  Gerrit’s Appliance is seeking customer focused individuals that take pride in their work and are interested in learning how to deliver and install appliances to our valued customers. No experience – No problem  If you have a basic understanding of hand/power tools or machinery, we can train you as our next Installer Apprentice. In this key role, you will be the face of Gerrit’s Appliance and part of our appliance delivery and installation team at our Wyoming location.

Installer / Driver Wages: Experienced - $17.00-$18.00/hour; Entry-Level - $16.00 - $16.50/hour 

As an Installer / Driver, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Work as a team sharing equal parts of the workload 
• Safely deliver appliances and load/unload trucks 

• Respect, protect and thoroughly clean up customer homes 
• Remove old appliance(s) 
• Move appliances into homes with superior care and unpackage appliances 
• Hook up appliances to water lines, gas lines, venting material, and/ or electrical connections 
• Maintain vehicle, supplies and tools, keeping clean, organized, and secure at all times 

Gerrit’s looks for Installers / Drivers who have the following: 

• High School Graduate and at least 18 years old 
• Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools 
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record 
• Exceptional customer service skills and friendly personality 
• Excellent safety record as well as the commitment to safety and quality 
• Ability to move into tight spaces and up and down stairways  
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry 100 pounds 
• Ability to exercise sound judgement skills and solve problems 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Positive attitude and enjoy working with people 
• Chauffeur/CDL License – preferred
