Responsibilities for Medical Receptionist:
Welcome patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office.
Check patients in and schedule follow- up appointments.
Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, recent labs delivered by patients.
Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients.
Be a part of a team that answers and directs phone calls from a mulit-line system.
The ideal candidate works well in a fast paced environment, including large patient census daily.
Duties will include answering phones, scheduling, verification of insurance eligibility, greeting patients, collection of patient balances and co-pays.
Candidate should have excellent computer knowledge, telephone courtesy and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications for Medical Receptionist:

Friendly and compassionate disposition.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT billing codes is a plus.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
