Job Summary: The Communications Representative will be responsible for managing and enhancing the company’s internal and external communications. This role involves crafting compelling content, managing media relations, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively communicate our organization's message to internal and external audiences.
- Support the creation, editing, and distribution of various communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization, representing our values and vision in all external communications.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists, proactively pursuing opportunities for positive media coverage.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment about our organization, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Support crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and accurate communication during challenging situations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement internal communication initiatives, such as employee newsletters and town hall meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a communications role, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of media relations and digital communication strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with communication tools and software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
