We are currently looking for a Saddled Sticher Operator to join the Moore Company. The Saddle Stitcher Operator is responsible for operating saddle stitcher machines and will play an essential role in the company. This position will be responsible for set-up, maintenance repairs, and operation of at least 2 or more machines (such as bindery, mail, saddle stitch, and/or finishing machines).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates and observes machines to detect malfunctions throughout the production run.
  • Trains and provides guidance to Machine Associates as needed.
  • Interprets job tickets or SOPs accurately so jobs are completed per customer's requirements.
  • Maintains and updates maintenance records.
  • Set up and fine-tune pockets to ensure minimal drops and stops during the operation.
  • Select samples and/or proof for the customer's review, as requested.
  • Sorts and prepares output for the next step in the process.
  • Understand and follow safety and quality requirements.
  • Set and monitor machine calipers to ensure the quality of the finished product.
  • Recommends and helps develop SOPs for job-related functions, process improvement, and ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Set up, adjust, and repair stitcher heads as needed for smooth and trouble-free operation.

Salary commensurate with experience/work history.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
