Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, handling high-pressure situations with composure, and working collaboratively to contribute significantly to the success of our department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively handle a diverse and challenging client base, maintaining professionalism and poise.
  • Demonstrate expertise in handling claims across multiple domains including Auto, General Liability, Property, and Workers' Compensation. Pure Property claims experience is not sufficient.
  • Possess experience in commercial lines; personal lines experience is beneficial but not solely sufficient.
  • Support the Claims Director by managing the overall claims process for designated responsibilities.
  • Navigate and resolve intermediate to complex coverage issues.
  • Persistently address difficult situations until they are resolved favorably and to the extent possible, in the client's favor.
  • Conduct thorough Desk Reviews and maintain comprehensive claims documentation in the AMS system.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with adjusters from all partnered carriers and internal Account Executive Teams.
  • Independently manage specific accounts with minimal oversight.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients in claims settlements.
  • Perform detailed data analysis for renewal processes and coordinate claim reviews.
  • Lead Claim Closure Projects and other ad hoc projects to support the Claims Director.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AMS; knowledge of Epic is a plus.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in claims management.
  • Strong technical proficiency in handling various types of claims.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and capable of maintaining detailed claims diaries and documentation.
