Project Control/Financial Analyst

  • Provide financial analysis and reviews of operating budgets for expenses against budgeted funds and prepares recommendations for appropriate alignment of funding sources.
  • Evaluate controls on labor, overhead, and general and administrative expenditures. Identifies trends and prepares special reports and processes to monitor and project financial performance.
  • Provide specialized financial guidance to management.
  • Conduct complex financial studies, process analysis, and reviews of operating budgets for costs compared to budgeted funds and prepares management recommendations to align funding sources to expenses.
  • Assist in monitoring expenditures.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain audit files for program compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Management, Business Administration or similar discipline and 4+ years of experience in government project controls, schedule, financial reporting, and project management.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage time and resources, with an exceptional ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of Project Budgets, Change Management, Earned Value, Cost and Schedule management associated with major project execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and work independently and to use creative, collaborative, and consultative approaches to resolve issues.
  • Experienced with MS Office Suite, including Formulas, Pivot Tables and large data sets.

This position will work remotely but will need to go onsite to our client’s location for meetings as needed.
