We are seeking experienced civil engineers to join our dynamic Transportation Team. In this role, the ideal candidate will support the design of highway, aviation, and municipal projects. The hired candidate must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field of civil engineering.
You Will:
- Interfaces with various disciplines to ensure design process is coordinated, complete and comprehensive
- Develops design concepts, studies, design options, and establishes design criteria
- Performs analysis and design calculations, documents design procedures, and assures design is in compliance with codes and standards
- Prepares the design documents including schematics, design details, calculations, specifications, and utility coordination
- Prepares the project deliverables including plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates and commissioning documents
- Maintains the project records for information and data necessary for documentation of the design process
- Monitors projects to assure schedule, budget and design are consistent with project criteria and scope of work
- Recognizes scope creep and brings to the attention of the Project Manager
- Prepares and coordinates the design of assigned engineers.
- Coordinates and completes all permits requirements
- Performs field investigations and construction inspection duties as assigned
- Performs other duties as required by Project Managers/Department Manager
You Have:
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or related fields
- E.I.T. or P.E. licensure preferred.
- Experience with aviation projects a plus
- 5-10 years of civil engineering in transportation and related disciplines.
- Computer skills and knowledge in AutoCAD/Civil3D, Bentley ORD and other related Windows based and engineering software.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to write reports, cost estimates, and scheduling and quantity take off.
