The Dog Stop® is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager with retail, management, and customer service experience to help manage a doggie daycare, boarding, grooming, and retail store in Spring, TX. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager/Owner to set the right team culture This position will be responsible for the entire facility, its staff, and all our human and canine guests


We are a fast-paced business. The candidate should be prepared to spend the entire shift on his/her feet. Multi-tasking and maintaining organization skills in a busy environment is a requirement.


Knowledge of the dog care industry is a plus, but not required, provided the candidate is capable of quickly learning the ins and outs of our services and is ready for a dynamic team environment. We require a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an exceptional experience for our clientele, and of course, a love of dogs. The excellent care, comfort, safety, and happiness of our canine guests is our highest priority.

Primary functions include:

  • Ensuring the safety, care, and comfort of our canine guests
  • Setting the example for our company culture, values, and goals
  • Ensuring all cleanliness, health, and safety protocols are strictly followed
  • Accountability and management of staff, training, and development
  • Meeting sales goals
  • Providing the highest level of customer service
  • Managing customer issues in person, via phone, email, or social media, and through our online customer satisfaction rating system
  • Oversight, knowledge, and research of retail products and inventory tracking
  • Client tours and developing customer relationships
  • Management of client database
  • Social media content creation and management
  • All employees must adhere to all The Dog Stop Policies and Procedures

Necessary Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in retail and customer service

Base pay ranges between $34K and $40K, depending on experience, with incentives and career growth possible.
