As a Senior Business Analyst on our Agile software development team, you will apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to define business requirements to deliver business value to the customer. Perform business analytic functions including, but not limited to; requirements elicitation, business process analysis, change management and project support. Addresses any challenge or opportunity, regardless of level of complexity finds a way to deliver business value for any change or challenge. Guide and mentor other Business Analysts in order to help them deliver better business outcomes. As a Senior Business Analyst you will be sought after for expertise and guidance in addressing business challenges, and provides insight to situations that fall within (or outside of) the sphere of influence. Apply strong communication skills to build relationships, connect people, and support team members.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize strong elicitation skills to validate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner. Define business needs so that they: can be resolved, are easy to understand and are actionable.
  • As a senior analyst you will be taking on increasingly complex tasks and mentoring junior team members.
  • Apply analytical skills, intrapersonal skills, and business knowledge when connecting concepts as they relate to different aspects of the company.
  • Document complex requirements & process models to support business needs using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Consistently communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Bring stakeholders together and consider differing viewpoints when analyzing potential value.
  • Collaboration: Serve as first line of contact and liaison between management, business units, and technical support teams. Foster a collaborative approach to collect ongoing feedback and opinions with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Supports Release Train Product Manager/Product Owner with backlog refinement and definition of work that provides business value to the customer.
  • Facilitate orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Assist in the validation and testing of deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Strong business knowledge
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant trends and technological developments in the field.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.


SUPERVISION EXERCISED

Provide project-related and partial functional prioritization of Business Analysts and Agile team members work.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Supervision is received from the Product Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile software development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Proficiency in requirement management tools and Agile project management software.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Experience in the P&C Insurance industry preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Predominately sedentary office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required.
  • The physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
