SUMMARY Cleans and maintains hard surface and carpeted flooring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Operate and perform routine maintenance of commercial floor care equipment.• Perform detailed carpet care including vacuuming, extraction and spot cleaning on a rotating basis for all casino carpets. • Mop, scrub, strip, wax and burnish hard surface flooring as assigned.• Maintain very high standard for cleanliness of all casino flooring • Perform upholstery care for all casino furniture. Includes extraction or replacement as needed. • Maintain familiarity with best practices/ industry standards for commercial floor care.• Supports the efforts of Maintenance and Janitorial team members as requested.• Other duties as assigned.Promotes the following within the department and among all Team Members:• Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all casino guests.• Encourages a culture of mutual respect, dignity and integrity for all Team Members. Sets a positive example at all times.• Strives to maintain a professional personal, departmental, and company reputation within the community.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with use and safe practices for powered floor care equipment. Ability to prioritize multiple projects. Ability to work efficiently with limited direct supervision.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience in commercial or institutional cleaning setting. Prior experience with operation of carpet and hard surface floor care equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in common units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
  • Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
