Job Title: Senior System Administrator

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Pay Range: Up to $120,000 / year depending on experience

**Onsite requirement - Must be authorized to work in the United States now, and in the future, without assistance


Job Description:

The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's servers and systems. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the reliability and performance of all IT operations and services.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and system software.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system operations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure from threats.
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery operations.
  • Update and patch systems to ensure security and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement IT projects and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in system administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of security practices and tools, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems (e.g., Palo Alto).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of database management and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA) are highly desirable.
