Rosie's Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Intern to join our team. As a Mental Health Intern, you will have the opportunity to provide counseling services to clients and gain valuable experience in the field of mental health. You will work under the supervision of licensed professionals to ensure the highest level of care for our clients. This internship is open to individuals currently enrolled in a master's program in counseling or a related field.


Responsibilities:


1. Counseling Services:

- Conduct counseling sessions with clients under the supervision of licensed professionals.

- Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy based on clients' needs.

- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address clients' mental health concerns.

- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.


2. Intake Assessments:

- Conduct intake assessments to gather relevant information about clients' presenting concerns, mental health history, and treatment goals.

- Administer assessment tools and evaluate clients' needs to develop appropriate treatment plans.

- Document intake assessments accurately and in a timely manner.


3. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and any other required documentation.

- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding client confidentiality and record-keeping.


4. Supervision and Professional Development:

- Participate in regular supervision meetings with a licensed professional to review cases, receive feedback, and enhance your clinical skills.

- Attend training sessions and workshops to further your professional development.


5. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with other team members, including therapists, case managers, and support staff, to provide comprehensive care for clients.

- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and external professionals involved in clients' treatment.


Requirements:


- Currently enrolled in a master's program in counseling or a related mental health field.

- Familiarity with counseling theories, techniques, and ethics.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Empathy and ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with clients.- Willingness to learn and receive feedback from supervisors.

- Reliable and responsible, with excellent time management skills.

- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines.

- Completion of required coursework and training related to counseling.
