Position Overview: The Controls Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems at our clients Monroe, NC facility. While controls work is an important aspect of this role, the position also involves hands-on work across various industrial maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, has a strong background in industrial maintenance, and is looking for a long-term career with growth potential. A Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is preferred, as continuous improvement is a key focus within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair control systems to ensure efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance actions.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on control systems.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including non-controls related maintenance work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
