Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary:

  • The Supervisor of Admissions provides supervision and consultation to the Admissions team in order to help locate appropriate placements for children in need.

Location:

  • Olathe, KS

Schedule:

  • This is for the evening supervisor position. This position is salaried, with on-call duties. Generally, the hours are 3pm-11pm or 4pm-12am (Monday-Friday)

Education:

  • Master’s degree in a field licensable by the BSRB

Experience:

  • One year of related experience
  • Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email

Licensure/Certification:

  • BSRB Licensure within the state of KS
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • Valid Drivers License
  • At least 21 years old

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To continue to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and stable; family centered, connected to the community; and which relies on evidence-based practice necessary to support contract services in Kansas
  • Ensure the implementation of program service plan and carry out the goals and department objectives
  • Supervise staff, create individual work assignments and evaluate job performance
  • Monitor timeliness and quality of reports and documentation
  • Train and monitor staff on policies and procedures and ensure that policies and procedures are followed
  • Serve as on call contact for staff during emergency situations
  • Participate as an organizational trainer, as assigned
  • Represent the organization at external meetings if needed
  • Coordinate staff appointments, discharges, disciplinary action, and other personnel issues with the Human Resources Department
  • Attend internal organizational meetings, as assigned
  • Oversee in-service training for staff and ensure the completion of required annual in-service hours and other required trainings
  • Understand contract requirements and work to improve contract specific outcomes
  • Maintain working relationships/communication with DCF, courts, and other community partners
  • Monitor all placement services provided to both KVC and non-contract youth, foster families and providers
  • Maintain positive working relationships with providers
  • Serve as a consultant for intake coordinators
  • Attend required trainings
