Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Description: Better Tomorrows is a mission-focused not for profit organization. We are working to alleviate poverty by providing programs, supportive services, and case management to over 26,000 residents of affordable housing in more than 100 communities across the nation and in Hawaii and the Virgin Islands.
We are searching for a dedicated, creative and reliable individual to engage seniors and individuals with disabilities in the coordination of activities, programs, and services. The ideal candidate will enjoy and have experience in working with seniors, children, and families. This position is part-time approximately 31 hours/week.Duties:
\tChampion the vision and drive service delivery at an affordable housing property serving resident, disabled and families by ensuring that programs meet the needs and interests of residents,
\tManage all facets of programming and service delivery by working collaboratively with community stakeholders,
\tDevelop and implement on-site programs to meet the needs of residents, including:
\tAdult education and job readiness
\tComputer Literacy programming
\tFood Banks and Financial Literacy programs to promote stability and self-sufficiency
\tHealth & wellness programs to promote physical, mental, and general wellbeing
\tDevelop and implement community-wide events focused on building safe and strong communities
\tParticipate in routine onsite partner meetings
\tDevelop and implement services based on community needs and resident feedback
\tConduct one-on-one case management services to support residents of the community
\tLeverage, nurture and cultivate key community partnerships to forge new and stronger relationships to maximize available programs and services for residents,
\tInput data to track case management progress, demographic information, and program outcomes
\tAdopt a customer service first attitude that ensures residents, partners, and the community at large receives the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate, environment
\tPerform other duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
\tMinimum two (2) to three (3) years work experience in Social Service Delivery
\tA degree in a related field is a plus\tExcellent verbal, written, and inter-personal skills
\tPrior knowledge of affordable housing and area social service resources
\tKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps and other software programs
\tAble to work 9-5, Monday-Friday with some occasional flexibility
\tAbility to safely lift 25 pounds
