Key Responsibilities: A Junior Sales position is an entry-level role that provides an opportunity to learn sales techniques and processes while contributing to the overall success of the sales team.

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential customers or leads through various channels (online research, networking, social media). Qualify leads by assessing their needs and potential interest in the company's products or services.
  • Cold Calling and Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects via phone, email, or social media to introduce the company’s offerings. Schedule meetings or calls for senior sales managers.
  • Sales Support: Assist senior sales managers with preparing sales presentations, proposals, and quotes. Help manage and update the customer database (CRM) by entering new leads and tracking interactions.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Follow up with prospects after initial contact to answer questions or provide additional information. Assist in nurturing leads through email campaigns or targeted outreach.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products or services to effectively communicate benefits to prospects. Stay updated on new product releases or industry trends to provide accurate information to potential clients.
  • Administrative Tasks: Support sales operations by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and organizing sales materials. Assist with tracking sales activities, including preparing reports and updating performance metrics.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers by addressing their queries and concerns. Ensure that customer interactions are documented in the CRM for future reference.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on competitors, industry trends, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for sales growth. Provide insights and feedback to the sales team regarding emerging market needs or challenges.
  • Attend Sales Meetings and Training: Participate in internal sales meetings to understand company objectives and goals. Engage in continuous learning and development through training sessions on sales techniques, product knowledge, and CRM tools.
  • Assist in Closing Deals: Collaborate with senior sales representatives to finalize sales deals, ensuring that all customer requirements are met. Support in preparing necessary documentation for contracts or agreements.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the sales team or management regarding lead progress, sales pipeline, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Track daily activities and results, helping identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales Experience: At least 1-2+ years of experience in sales-related, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Operations.
  • Industry Expertise: Preferable with knowledge of global logistics, supply chain management and air and ocean freight.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong verbal and written communication to engage customers effectively.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service and build rapport with clients.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic Negotiation: Willingness to learn and practice negotiation techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented in managing customer records and deals.
  • Experience with CRM systems or sales software is a bonus.
  • Motivation & Drive: Self-starter with a passion for sales and customer interaction. Strategic thinker with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • Persistence: Ability to handle objections and setbacks with resilience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred, although significant industry experience will be considered.
  • Bilingual skills can be a big plus.
