John Knox Village is seeking a motivated individual to act as a Fitness Professional to improve residents' physical well-being. As a Fitness Professional, you will instruct 3-5 group fitness classes per week. This is a unique personal and professional opportunity to interact with our residents and enhance their quality of life.
Some of you daily responsibilities will include instructing fitness classes of all types/varieties. You will write articles related to fitness or wellness to be published in JKV community publications at least 2 times per year. You will perform a first time fitness evaluation, Senior Fit Test, on at least 5 (new) members and contact 7% of the available current residents and schedule re-evaluations to do the Senior Fitness Test. You will develop exercise prescriptions for the residents who complete a fitness evaluation. You will plan and promote 1 fitness challenge per year for residents/employees while supporting the Fitness Team to achieve the overall Department mission.
We want to speak with individuals who have Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Must be CPR/Basic Life Support certified. Certified fitness professional. American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) preferred. Seeking those who have 1+ years' experience working with the senior population or successfully completed an Internship program in the senior population environment.
