Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Learning Institute for Functional Education (L.I.F.E.) is hiring a Clinical Training Coordinator (CTC) L.I.F.E. utilizes principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to increase functional skills and decrease maladaptive behaviors in children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The CTC will report to their assigned BCBA and the Human Resources Director of Operations. The CTC will be responsible for providing hands-on training in the field as well as collaborate with the Recruiter on developing current practices and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. The CTC will be a devoted educator who is up to date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance. 

Essential components of this position are listed below but subject to change at the discretion of L.I.F.E. This job description describes essential job functions but does not provide an exhaustive list of duties that may be assigned. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Onboarding - Oversee the new-hire onboarding process including creating training schedules, conducting multiple in-person trainings, collecting training feedback surveys from new-hires, and conducting post-training meetings.
  • Schedules - Manage schedules via Central Reach for all staff in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Merced counties. Perform bi-weekly Central Reach audits to ensure accurate hours and mileage have been submitted.
  • Client Intake - Conduct the client intake process and communicate with regional centers and vendors to request clients, evaluate and select clients that suit company needs, and distribute client files to case managers to initiate the evaluation process.
  • Training - Create and maintain learning opportunities, secure support for training clinical staff, and develop training programs and materials. Select training methods and content which may include choosing virtual, simulated, mentorship, on-the-job, or professional development training.
  • Maintaining Competency - Collaborate with Supervisors and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) in upholding clinical competency standards for all staff including ensuring consistency in new-hire training, receiving updates on progress, and discussing training needs. 
  • RBT Compliance - Monitor certification compliance under the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) for staff who are Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) including verifying monthly supervision hours were performed and logged.
  • RBT Achievement - Ensure all Behavior Technician (BT) staff are on-track to complete their 40-hour RBT course and assist them in the BACB eligibility and application process including sending reminders, identifying incentives, creating study material, and answering questions. Notify supervisors to perform competency assessments for staff who have completed the course.
  • Administrative - Perform administrative tasks including organizing digital and paper employee files, responding to emails, and updating spreadsheets.
  • Confidentiality - Ensure client and employee confidentiality, in compliance with HIPAA laws.
  • Mentorship - Working with mentors: This could include selecting mentors, supervising mentoring, and adapting and facilitating mentoring.
  • Travel - Travel to client-homes to provide additional staff training and conduct sessions as needed.

• Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to administrative skills, professional development, ethics, technology, and training to perform job responsibilities to required standards.

•  Ability to interpret, create, and implement clinical protocols. 

• Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, and hair.

EDUCATION:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.

• Preferred: pursuing a Master’s degree in a related field

EXPERIENCE:
• Required: At least two years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a clinical setting. Minimum of one year of experience training staff and working in an office or clinical setting with administrative related responsibilities. Experience utilizing computer software programs such as Word, Excel, and Google suite. 

• Preferred: Three or more years of experience in the field of ABA in a clinical setting. Two or more years of experience training staff and working in an office or clinical setting. Proficient in utilizing computer software such as Word, Excel, and Google suite. Experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in relation to scheduling, training new staff, and communicating with staff and managers.

COMPENSATION:

•  $22 - $24 per hour DOE 

• Mileage reimbursement and drive time (drive time paid at California minimum wage and mileage paid at current IRS rates)
