Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Location: Ft Worth, TX

Reports to: Production Manager

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all equipment in the building. This position is also responsible for planning and performing preventative maintenance. Equipment could include: Flexographic presses, shrink wrap machines, Vectra rewinders, and/or ARPCO rewinders and automated equipment. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements and performs regular maintenance program for all equipment
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
  • Trains operators when a maintenance issue is cause by the operator
  • Dismantles defective equipment and machines and installs new or repaired parts
  • Monitor parts and supply inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Ensure safety polices are complied with
  • Miscellaneous: Any other activity requested by management

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance of equipment or machinery
  • Ability to read and write in English language
  • Ability to use common tools
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to climb ladder and step stool
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization
