Empire Coating Inc is Western New Yorks leading coating applicator. Established in 1989, we are a cost-effective high-quality finisher, and we prove it through our work. Our focus industries include, but are not limited to, aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical, and military. Our capabilities include Chem Film, Paint, Powdercoat, Industrial Printing, Masking, Solid Film Lube and Blasting. We are devoted to long term growth through customer commitment and competitive leadership.

Position Overview

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Inspection, Testing & Approval: Inspect and evaluate finished parts and materials to ensure they meet predefined customer specifications.
  • Documentation: Record inspection results and test data accurately; document rework including issue identification, cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Reviewing Specifications: Compare products to blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Analyzing Defects: Determine the causes of product defects and recommend solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in achieving QA compliance and targets; develop and maintain quality procedures and controls.
  • Supplier & Product Assessment: Evaluate product specifications and customer requirements, including those of suppliers.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, technical documents, and manuals to ensure product quality.
  • Quality Tools: Use tools including but not limited to rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers for measurement.
  • Communication: Discuss inspection outcomes with production teams and collaborate with the Quality Manager on daily tasks.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a quality control technician or inspector required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using measurement tools and reading engineering drawings.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to propose effective solutions to improve product quality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and vocal communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.

Total Compensation Package:

  • Wage
    • This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00 per hour. Empire Coating Inc provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Compensation offered to a selected candidate may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
