Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a diligent and experienced Floor Technician to join our team at Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab in Black Mountain, North Carolina. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the floors and common areas within our healthcare facility. This is a full-time, individual contributor position with a salary range of $16 to $18 per hour, paid biweekly. As a Floor Technician, you will play an important role in creating a safe and sanitary environment for our patients and staff.

Compensation & Benefits:
As a member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary between $16 to $18 per hour, paid biweekly. Other benefits offered include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth and advancement within our organization.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine floor cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Clean and disinfect patient rooms and common areas, such as hallways and waiting rooms
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or malfunctions
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
• Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Respond promptly to emergency spills and accidents
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
• Assist with other cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in floor cleaning, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
• Familiarity with safety regulations and infection control protocols
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
