ASG Information Technologies in Wallingford, one of Connecticut’s most recognized MSP, is expanding again. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal management in a team environment where every member is an important part of our success.


This role will be driving onsite several times a week to our clients to assist our professional services department with minor project work as well as desktop installations for users. Documentation and attention to detail is critical, as the right individual will be able to build the software lists and desktop install processes for clients as well as install hardware with minimal supervision. Customer service is critical. The ability to install and setup wireless AP's and some firewall experience is preferred, as this role can grow into a full project technician long term.


When not deploying hardware or assisting on projects, this role will be working as part of our service desk team in house in Wallingford.


Gas and travel are reimbursed.


Minimum 3 years experience in Windows service roles, preferable in relation to systems administration and support. Microsoft and Comptia certifications are preferable and move candidates to the front of the line, but nothing beats experience.

The Position:

The qualified applicant should have professional experience providing desktop or remote level support services in Microsoft Windows-based network environments. Job duties include problem resolution as well as deploying IT solutions. You will work as part of a team based in Wallingford CT, providing remote and onsite services to clients throughout the northeast.

 

The successful candidate should be proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and have experience with Windows Server environments and the Microsoft 365 platform.

 

Knowledge of Google Workspace, Cisco, and HP solutions are also helpful. Candidates should have proven skill levels as demonstrated by certifications which may include: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCP etc.

 

 Candidates should have a strong desire to advance their technical skills. Applicant must have excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills, be detail oriented and able to function as part of a team.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma required, higher level degree and/or certs desire

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a help desk technician or Field Service Technician supporting Windows operating systems and apps
  • Experience supporting users in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and composed under pressure
