Position Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Area Manager to oversee multiple locations of 49th State Brewing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, financial literacy, and a proven ability to lead and inspire restaurant managers. Experience with ADP, Toast, and Teamworks systems is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management:
    • Oversee operations of multiple brewpub locations.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop restaurant managers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Implement and manage operational policies and procedures across locations.
    • Ensure all locations adhere to company standards and policies.
  2. Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets for multiple locations.
    • Analyze financial performance and implement strategies for improvement.
    • Ensure cost-effective operations and maintain financial sustainability.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to upper management.
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure each location delivers high-quality service and product consistency.
    • Implement and monitor quality control measures.
    • Collaborate with the brewing team to ensure alignment with company standards.
    • Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  4. Systems Management:
    • Utilize ADP for payroll and HR management.
    • Implement and manage Toast for POS and restaurant operations.
    • Use Teamworks for staff scheduling and communication.
  5. Customer and Community Relations:
    • Foster strong relationships with customers and the community.
    • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
    • Promote the company's brand and products through various marketing strategies.
  6. Staff Development and Training:
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff.
    • Implement training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable and skilled.
    • Direct the employee assessment process and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of high-level leadership experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Proven experience managing multiple locations.
  • Strong financial literacy and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Experience with ADP, Toast, and Teamworks systems is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and industry trends.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
