Managing a dairy farm is no easy task - especially when you don't have the supplies to keep functioning. When supplies run out, our members need our support to get things moovin' again. That's where our Warehouse Clerk will come in The Warehouse Clerk is the lifeblood of our Service and Supply team, providing oversight of everything in our warehouse. You'll manage inventory, intake supply requests, and operate a forklift to build out loads for shipments.

WAREHOUSE CLERK PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare loads and load delivery trucks 
  • Receive and pull product into inventory and stock in appropriate locations
  • Oversee inventory levels utilizing barcode system
  • Assist customers as needed
  • Perform general site maintenance duties and clean and maintain warehouse
  • Answer service line phone calls
  • Generate P.O.S & receive P.O.S
  • Maintain a safe and clean working area
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly forklift inspections & maintenance as required by OSHA
  • Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately


WAREHOUSE CLERK QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills & Abilities: 

  • General knowledge of warehouse environment
  • Ability to operate forklift 
  • Ability to log and manage warehouse inventory
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of computers including the ability to learn inventory management systems
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions

Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a warehouse clerk, forklift operator, inventory specialist, or similar role

Education/Certifications: 

  • High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent
  • Forklift Certification or previous experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires ability to safely operate equipment. 
  • Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items up to 55lbs.
  • Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items between 20 and 55lbs often.
  • Requires ability to push and pull items occasionally in excess of 55lbs including 55 gallon drums. 
  • Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals.
  • Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
  • Requires ability to hear and speak. 
  • Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights including floors of 100ft or more.
  • Requires ability to hear and speak and frequently hear and speak in very noisy environments.
  • Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions.
  • Ability to sit and drive a forklift frequently.
