Job Summary:

The RIS Payment Optimization Team Lead oversees a team of analysts dedicated to compliantly optimizing revenue from every procedure. Leading the team, they provide guidance and support in utilizing RadNet applications and systems, emphasizing maintenance, documentation, and user education. Operating in a fast-paced environment, this role collaborates with project managers, product developers, operations, revenue cycle, IT leadership, and C-Suite members. Additionally, the Team Lead takes a lead role in implementing new applications for financial analysis, reporting, and solutions within the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads a team of analysts and specialists focused on crafting innovative RIS financial solutions.
  • Collaborates closely with the Manager of Radiology Information Systems Solutions.
  • Strategically delegates tasks to staff, fostering innovative and creative solutions.
  • Communicates changes and opportunities regarding payment optimization across the organization.
  • Develop an end-user training curriculum and training plan, with and for Clinical Operations, regarding RIS optimization, including payment functionality.
  • Works closely with analysts to establish and execute rollout plans for new software functionality.
  • Guided analysts in conducting training sessions for RadNet Management, covering new hires, IT teams, and acquisitions as needed.
  • Support the Software Quality Assurance team in testing, workflows, and documentation.
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships by communicating regularly with vendors about trends and issues.
  • Collaborates with the product management teams to develop, improve, and resolve RadNet applications and systems solutions.
  • Regularly reports on projects and findings to relevant staff members, management, and the C-Suite team.
  • Directly engages with the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations to provide quarterly reporting on patient responsibility accuracy to management and the C-Suite team.
  • Actively monitors RIS work lists, reporting, and analytic tools, investigates findings, and resolves issues to optimize payment.
  • Develop creative solutions to maximize revenue from every procedure compliantly.
  • Travel is required for this position approximately 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  • Five plus years of management experience is preferred
  • College education in a related field is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be meticulous and self-motivated
  • 3 years SQL
  • High level of proficiency and demonstrated effectiveness in problem determination and resolution
  • Proficiency in financial software, data analytic tools, and spreadsheet applications
  • Skilled in analyzing intricate data and systems for informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

  • Promotes good public relations on the phone and in person.
  • Adapts and is willing to learn new tasks, methods, and systems.
  • Reports to work regularly as scheduled; consistently punctual with respect to working hours, meal and rest breaks, and maintains satisfactory personal attendance in accordance with RadNet guidelines.
  • Consistently adheres to time management policies and procedures.
  • Completes job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.

Physical Demands:

This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Also, must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. The position requires the ability to travel (~20% of the time), drive a vehicle, and utilize other forms of transportation.
