Overview

The primary responsibility of the Health Center Facilities Supervisor is to ensure all life safety processes are followed and works directly with the Long-Term Mutual Aid Program. This position will implement the preventative maintenance program of all mechanical equipment and oversees the completion of necessary and scheduled work order repairs. The Health Center Facilities Supervisor oversees daily maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and regulatory safety operations of all areas of the Health Center.

Essential Functions

  • Supervises, administers, and maintains scheduling of health center maintenance technicians, housekeeping, and laundry to ensure all shifts are adequately covered at all times.
  • Establishes workorder execution and completion, providing written notes in WorxHub system.
  • Provides written quarterly reviews of all life safety documentation and completes any other necessary documentation.
  • Participates in the execution of the emergency management plan and conducts fire drills according to regulatory requirements and maintains records.
  • Maintains and tracks facilities capital assets and product inventory records for the health center.
  • Completes and maintains daily preventative maintenance logs according to state and federal regulations
  • Conducts environmental rounds with Infection Preventionist to ensure environment is in compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team for room turnovers and other needs.
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality to ensure that the dignity and respect of the residents and staff is preserved.
  • Acts as a first responder to emergencies and other problems in the facility and takes the appropriate action.
  • Performs routine public safety duties, security lock downs, and installation and control of security lockouts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; plus 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • 1 year of experience as a building technician or similar position in a skilled nursing facility is required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in and understandable manner.
  • Must be able to handle emergency situations in an effective and calm manner.
  • Must have general knowledge of physical plant operations.
  • Must have general knowledge of first aid.
  • A valid Class D driver’s license with no violations or restrictions is required.
  • Demonstrates dependability by completing commitments within requested time frames.

Hours

40 hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay

$25.00 per hour
