Position Overview

The service technician will be responsible for all activities relating to the building, teardown and installation of automated equipment and dispensing systems according to customer specifications. This position requires a strong technical ability in the fields of robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics.


Primary Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assembly of automated machines
  • Provide input and feedback with engineering on machine concept and layout
  • Verify conformance of parts to the BOM and drawings
  • Read and understand mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Identify, test, debug and troubleshot mechanical issues with equipment
  • Support installation activities at Customer facilities as necessary
  • In-house preventive maintenance and housekeeping standards
  • Anticipates safety and quality problems in work areas and takes immediate action to correct unsafe conditions or actions
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Hands on experience in assembly, setup, test, and debug of equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering blueprints and schematics
  • Experience in gaging, automation, and assembly systems
  • Basic working knowledge of lathes, grinders, drill press and hand/power tools


Service Tech Levels


Experience will be based on previous experience and interview process, as well as mastering training given by Rampf Group Inc subject matter experts.


Junior Service Technician 1-5 years’ experience

Service Technician 5-10 years’ experience

Senior Service Technician 10+ years’ experience


Minimum Qualifications

  • Training in the USA and Germany is required
  • Must be mechanically inclined


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Production environment
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Travel required - up to 50%
