Role: Plumbing Supervisor - Harrisburg, PA
Objective:
The Plumbing Supervisor will manage our plumbers, ensuring excellent customer service and a strong team. They will shape company culture, drive results, and address operational issues, while understanding business finances, strategy, and competition.
In this role you will:
- Lead from the front, the majority of this role will be spent in the field and the remainder of your time will be spent managing, coaching, and holding accountable the plumbers.
- Supervises, trains and coaches plumbers in technical, soft skills and day to day duties.
- Manage day to day technician needs including assistance, praise, and discipline.
- Ensure positive customer relations that include technician performance issues, technical billing disputes and technical issues from visits.
- Perform plumbing technical services as needed.
- Actively own and promote our mission statement & core values.
- Identify opportunity for growth & develop individual technicians’ growth via onsite training, coaching, assigned trainings and experience building tasks.
- Inform and train plumbing technicians on new procedures, work policies and plumbing codes.
- Plan and develop schedules for needed equipment usage.
- Possess knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to the work of the plumbers. Monitor and ensure safe work protocols.
- Monitor materials and labor costs to ensure the plumbing department is working within budgetary guidelines.
- Assist the Plumbing Manager in the preparation of capital expenditures and operational budget.
- Collaborate with Plumbing Manager and office staff to meet the demands of the plumbing operations business.
- Plan for future improvement of self and team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or completion of G.E.D
- 10 years of plumbing and/or supervisory experience
- Journeyman or Master Plumbers license preferred in PA, required in MD
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes is essential
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must possess proficient computer skill
