As a member of our Fire District 3 First Responder staffing, they provide quick and compassionate response in crisis management and on scene medical assistance.
Our Community Care Providers enjoy a rewarding career offering service in the following ways:

SALARY AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Community Care Provider EMT:
- $3,827 - $4,652
EMS Incentive Pay:
- EMT-A - 3%
- EMT - Int. - 5%
Community Care Provider Paramedic:
- $4,881 - $5,933
This is a represented position.
HEALTH INSURANCE AND HRA-VEBA:
- The District offers medical, vision, dental and prescription benefits for employee and family coverage with the option of two deductibles to choose from to fit your current health needs.
- HRA VEBA is an employer paid benefit - the District contributes 5% (based on FF step E) monthly to employee accounts - 2024 contribution = $372
RETIREMENT:
- District members are eligible for PERS retirement pension benefits at no cost and are fully vested at 5 years.
- Both the employee and employer contributions to PERS are paid at 100% by the District
- The District will pay matching employee contributions to a 401(a) Deferred Compensation plan, contingent on a minimum contribution from the member into a 457(b) Deferred Compensation plan.
Successful candidates who join our team will enjoy a rotating schedule of 2 days on and 2 days off. We offer excellent benefits and compensation. Paid time off is accrued as sick and vacation time and new employees receive a front loaded bank of 20 hours of sick time upon hire.

We select our future teammates with a thorough background investigation, psychological fitness evaluation, medical evaluation and drug and alcohol screening process. All of our background steps are designed to measure interpersonal skills, physical fitness to perform the functions of the job, respect for others, honesty, character, ethics, integrity, decision making and judgement, maturity and discipline.
