Urban Gypsum located in Portland, OR is now hiring for a Production Operator.

You must be able to perform tasks as assigned in the recycling and processing of drywall. In addition to meeting departmental manufacturing goals, safety, accuracy, and efficiency are key elements to your performance.

Urban Gypsum is a closed-loop materials recovery facility, located in the Rivergate Industrial Sector of St. Johns, Oregon, that recycles drywall waste turning it into a 99% pure powder for use in agricultural and industrial applications. We are growing and looking to hire motivated people who want to be part of a fast-paced, growing start-up company

Day & Night Shifts Available

Production Operator Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of receiving, shipping, and storing recycled and processed drywall
  • Compliance with all Safety, Environmental and Operating Standards
  • Competent operation of all processing systems and equipment
  • Completes shipments by processing and loading orders
  • Engage in Preventative Maintenance Program on equipment
  • Provides quality service by following organization standards
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Production Operator Qualifications / Skills:

  • Forklift and Loader operating experience
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and proven track record of delivering on commitments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Good attendance required.
