Defense Litigation Associate


Location: Atlanta, GA (near The Battery)


Immediate Opening: Defense Litigation Associate


We are working with a well established civil litigation defense firm who is currently seeking two (2) Defense Litigation Associate with 2-6 years of experience to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling complex cases and will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to a diverse range of litigation matters, including but not limited to medical malpractice, employment, products liability, premise liability, and construction defects. These positions will be working with and have the opportunity to learn from two of our client's busiest and well-respected Partners.


This is a great opportunity to practice in a small firm culture while working on challenging legal issues.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
  • Engage in client communication and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload effectively.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 2-6 years of defense litigation experience.
  • Strong background in handling complex cases in areas such as medical malpractice, employment, products liability, premise liability, and construction defects.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
