The Assistant Superintendent – Level 1, works in conjunction with fellow Assistant Superintendents and the Superintendent on jobsites, to maintain site orderliness, quality control, and adherence to all safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintains, reviews, and records project documentation.
  • Submission of reporting (i.e. MDE) as directed by the Superintendent.
  • Documentation and issuance of all project meeting minutes
  • Logs all 3rd party inspections (Trade, testing, ADA, Green, etc.) Where?
  • Maintains and distributes jobsite files and documents to field management.
  • Responsible for project site quality control.
  • Ensures all As-Builts drawings are current.
  • Collects Material Delivery Sheets
  • Participates in pre-punch list and architect’s punch list walks, assisting with photos and recording notes
  • Performs QC/QA observations as directed.
  • Participates in pre-installation conferences.
  • Supports the Superintendent in ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Distributes the look ahead schedule.
  • Logs, distributes, and maintains safety related documentation.
  • Participates in safety observations and inspections.
  • Maintains safety orientations.
  • Ensures all safety processes are logged – i.e. lock-out procedures, hot work, water, etc.
  • Issues and closes Safety Observations for PPE.
  • Represents the company with a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Ensures all standards of quality are met.
  • Adheres to the project schedule to meet required deadlines.
  • Adheres to the Company’s key values of quality, dependability, and integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Such as working with superintendent on unlocking, locking site including windows, doors gates, etc.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, undergraduate degree construction management or engineering, preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – including Project.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Eager to learn new skills.
  • Humble, and comfortable with vulnerability.
  • Drive to make proactive decisions.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Able to process new information and complex topics quickly.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with Procore software
