Our company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales representative to join our team. As a sales rep, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and expanding relationships with key accounts, and closing sales. Must reside in the Northeast US region or be willing to relocate. We offer a competitive comp package at plan with a best in class accelerator over plan

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and execute sales strategy, sales plans, to achieve quarterly and annual goals within the NE sales territory
  • Maintain and continuously expand customer base with emphasis on major accounts
  • Communicate feedback to management on trends in market
  • Communicate major customer information, revenue target progress, and product forecasts with accuracy and on a regular basis
  • Attend local and national tradeshows
  • Create customer pricing strategies
  • Deliver technical presentations on products to customers

Requirements:

  • Experience or knowledge of workflows with DNA & RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, microarrays and NGS
  • BS Degree in life science area, or equivalent work experience
  • Must reside in the Northeast US region. Driving distance to Boston, MA preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in life science area preferred
  • Minimum 3 years proven sales experience
  • Experience selling genomic products or services
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large amounts of technical data and documentation
  • Knowledge of liquid handling robotics a plus
