Summary:

Provide project management oversight for the delivery of the BMS solution for the facility. The BMS solution is Johnson Control Metasys which will provide building environmental control and monitoring for all production and support building on the facility campus.

You will work closely with the BMS workstream to ensure adequate automation oversight of the BMS deliverables, including process automation integration.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide project leadership and be accountable for meeting approved scope, schedule, and cost plans
  • Ensure project is delivered in a manner compliant with project planning documents, procedures and guidelines for the facility campus.
  • Plan, monitor and control overall BMS activities
  • Monitor and manage BMS scope
  • Communicate with GFD Project managers for the area and report progress against plan
  • Communicate automation staffing requests needed to meet project timelines to the Program Automation Leader
  • Liaise with I&C design firm, BMS supplier and contractors, construction, and other automation project managers to ensure the project meets business needs
  • Lead preparation of requests for proposal and bid analysis for BMS system integration with process automation systems (DeltaV, PLC)
  • Lead initiation of BMS system integration work support BMS implementation
  • Oversee and direct BMS system integrator for successful project execution
  • Provide necessary progress data to Automation Program Management Office (APMO) to allow preparation of monthly reports to stakeholders
  • Document and share lessons learned with APMO
  • Support schedule development for BMS
  • Record issues into centralized issue tracking system
  • Support resolution of I&C, hardware and software related issues observed during commissioning
  • Coordinate execution of project automation integrated change control related to BMS
  • Participate in Identifying and analyzing risks and planning responses
  • Maintain compliance with training requirements

Role Requirements:

  • BS Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years working experience in Project Management and Lead roles
  • Previous Pharmaceutical Automation Large Project/Program experience/expertise
  • Managing pharmaceutical BMS projects or equivalent experience
  • Coordinating the installation, start up, testing, and commissioning of HVAC control systems in critical and non-critical applications in GMP environments
  • Experience with BMS control strategies and HVAC equipment including chillers, valves, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, VFDs, air handling units and variable air volume (VAV) systems.
  • Preferable, 5 years of experience in capital projects utilizing Johnson Controls Metasys BMS
  • Proficiency in commonly used project management tools (scheduling, metrics, risk management)
  • Preferable, solid knowledge of GMP's and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional teamwork abilities
  • Solid networking and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Formal Project Management credentials desirable
