Parts Inventory Supervisor

- Field all parts information and requests (timely response to emails, calls, and other communications) from VMI personnel and vendors. Providing parts cost estimates, procurement timelines, delays, backorders, etc.
- Manage parts inventory, perform inventory counts and redistribute excess parts to other facilities or return to vendors.
- Order parts, perform part runs, deliver inventory to technicians, operations team.
- Communicate with vendors via email, or phone to provide/obtain purchase order approvals and/or discuss billing questions.
- Gather necessary paperwork and upload into CMMS system for records.
- Create regular inventory reports as directed by Maintenance Manager.
- Perform accurate inventory counts, inventory checks and track/update parts in the Fiix CMMS system
- Identify and create asset records, and update inventory in Fiix CMMS database in a timely manner; new parts, deleted parts, defective and/or depleted.
- Systematically inventory large shipments of new inventory as needed.
- May perform supervisory duties and provide guidance for two or more parts room attendants as the operation increases in scale.
- Contributes to achievement of VMI goals and objectives.
- Maintains a safe and compliant working environment
- Other duties as assigned
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment as an Inventory/Parts supervisor or manager; other applicable experience in manufacturing/industrial inventory/parts may also be acceptable.
- Experience in positions requiring a strong team player in diverse groups of people.
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to identify parts and components using measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, tapes, rulers, etc, using imperial and metric measurements.
- Strong ability to research independently using internal and external web based resources to source parts as needed, in a timely manner.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, and the ability to learn new systems quickly,
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Mechanically savvy and the ability to learn parts and processes.
- Bachelors’ degree preferred
- Bilingual – Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience working in a non-climate controlled warehouse.
- Experience using pallet jacks and forklifts to move supplies and equipment.
- Experience working with CMMS or inventory management software.
