I. Position Overview:

The position is responsible for the data entry, coordination, and reporting of key operational metrics for the production area of business. Post production materials and labor to JDE and collaborate with finance, as needed. Obtains and updates the data for Production related metrics. This also includes data mining/filtering, maintaining data integrity, developing trend reports and expanding use of the application/database to utilize its full potential. Generate training materials for production related data. Interfaces with all departments (Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and R&D to obtain and utilize production data.

II. Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize JDE to post production material correctly, usually within 24 hours, and collaborate with Finance, as needed, regarding data.
  • Perform system transactions (JDE postings, OEE database, labor posting sheets, BR review, DB, etc.)
  • SME for Production and Inventory Management System
  • Ownership of visual management board including metrics (data collection for metrics, updating monthly playbooks and posting on boards, performance analysis)
  • Perform document review of MBR when necessary
  • Enter requisitions in JDE for production supplies
  • Production standards development and adjustments and management of production variances
  • Provide metrics to Site Leadership Team with the intention of defining problem areas and continuous improvement opportunities for facility.
  • Work with departments and cross-functional teams as indicated to ensure good incoming data.
  • Complete accurate data entry.
  • Develop, update and present training materials for data coming from Production.
  • Become proficient in the use of the JDE application and other data sources to become the subject matter expert and ensure the application(s) is used to its full potential.
  • Flexible work schedule to meet business needs, including occasional weekends/holidays.
  • Conduct special data analysis projects as requested by management.
  • Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage risk to ensure product quality. Communicate risk policies and processes throughout the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

III. Position Requirements:

Education or Equivalent:

  • High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or Administrative Certificate preferred

Experience:

  • General office experience, typing, accurate data entry.
  • 2 or more years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel spreadsheets.
  • 1 or more years’ experience with JDE or similar databases.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

  • High level of attention to detail, well-organized and able to multi-task
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • A full complement of business computer literacy skills (e.g., word processing, presentation, spreadsheets, database software etc.) is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel user; Advanced user of Databases.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Works well under pressure, meets deadlines and able to prioritize workloads.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments.
  • Review reports, etc. for accuracy and logic.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Should be familiar with cGMP and safe work practices
  • Maintain good records, and be able to access them rapidly. Understand where information can be found.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to share skills and information with others.
  • Demonstrate a bias toward action. Get things done.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, talking, writing, listening
  • Work at desk and computer screen for 6-8 hours per day
  • Occasional walking, bending, carrying
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds
