Responsibilities

Prepares and administers diagnostic and therapeutic radio-nuclides. Performs radionuclide procedures. May perform Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computerized Tomography (CT) procedures. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to the patient's needs. Provides assistance with policies and procedures for department. Schedules colleagues and provides input into evaluations. Works closely with the director/manager to plan, implement, and facilitate the work activity of the area to accomplish goals and objectives.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree or Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or completion of a radiologic technology program is required.

Experience

2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Licensed nuclear medicine technologist by IEMA if practicing in Illinois is required.

American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (N)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Physical Requirements: Allied Health
