Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for people and organization? Join us as a Human Resource Generalist - Onboarding Specialist at Bud Clary Auto Group. You'll play a pivotal role in welcoming new team members, from posting job vacancies to ensuring compliance. Your duties include overseeing the onboarding process, accurately hiring new employees, attending job fairs, and supporting HR projects. This role offers ample opportunities for growth within our HR Department, while also contributing to generalist tasks and projects.

This role, located in Longview, Washington, offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-office and remote work options.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Focus:

  • Post job vacancies in the ATS (Clear).
  • Extend offers to candidates and help managers negotiate terms when needed.
  • Guide candidates through pre-employment documents and procedures.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of new hires into the payroll system (UKG) by hiring them in the ATS (Clear).
  • Upload new hire paperwork into Compli and ensure I-9 completion and compliance.
  • Post positions on additional job boards as needed.
  • Represent the company at job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with technical schools offering automotive programs near our dealership locations.
  • Assist in sourcing passive candidates through online platforms and networking when needed.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and timelines.
  • Compile and update employee records.
  • Prepare reports or spreadsheets related to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, etc.).

Secondary Focus:

  • Stay up to date on HR policies, procedures, and state/federal employment laws.
  • Assist in HR projects as needed.
  • Assist in answering tickets in the HR inbox.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects related to employee engagement, performance management, and HR policies.
  • Assist in employee relations, conflict resolution, and HR investigations as needed.
  • Maintain and update HR records and files.
  • Participate in HR audits and compliance activities.
  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative support to HR Director.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field or 2-5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills (a plus):

- Experience with Clear, Compli, or UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) HR software is highly desirable and will be considered an asset in this role.

Starting pay: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
