Logistics Support Manager

**Immediate Opening**

CSEngineering is looking to add a Logistics Support Manager to our growing team in Barksdale AFB, LA to support the Enterprise Logistics Flight Plan including involvement and preparation of group presentations with HAF and other MAJCOM representatives.

CLIENT OVERVIEW

AFGSC (Air Force Global Strike Command), which stood up on 7 August 2009, is responsible for organizing, training and equipping global nuclear and conventional global strike forces, to include Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), B-52 bombers, B-1 and B-2 bomber forces, and Kirtland AFB, NM special mission sets. A time-phased transition of assigned forces from separate Air Force Major Commands (MAJCOM) transpired with the ICBM forces transitioning on 1 December 2009 and bomber forces on 1 February 2010. The B-1 and Kirtland missions transitioned in October 2015. With these transitions came a continued need to write, coordinate, and approve AFGSC Supplements to Air Force Instructions, allowing transitioned units to understand, prepare, and implement the AFGSC mission. In addition, the generation of various follow-on supplements, identification and generation of training materials, continued identification of the required AFGSC information technology (IT) architecture, and monitoring development of programs, all of which are not directly tied to the transition plan will further AFGSC's capability to meet the nuclear and conventional global strike missions. To meet these responsibilities, HQ AFGSC/A4 requires extensive ICBM weapon system expertise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Outlined below are the critical requirements for this position:

  • Support directorate and command activities to the Air Force Enterprise Logistics Governance (ELG) to support the Enterprise Logistics Flight Plan including involvement and preparation of group presentations with HAF and other MAJCOM representatives. ELG initiatives include but are not limited to: Logistics Advisory Council Nuclear Working Group, Logistics Ability to Survive and Operate (LATSO), Logistics Human Capital Strategy (LHCS), Enterprise Logistics Information Technology (ELIT), Repair Network Integration (RNI), Meet and Enhance Mission Generation (MEMG) and Responsive Resilient Supply Chain Working Groups.
  • Serve as primary Action Officer and Air Force lead POC for Log ATSO initiative. Coordinate with all MAJCOMs and HAF staff to develop guidance and tactics, techniques, and procedures to support this initiative.
  • Coordinate directorate inputs and organize presentations for the AFGSC Global Strike Health and Operations Board and Council. Inputs derive from multiple command or Air Force initiatives, e.g. ICBM Force Improvement Program, Security Forces Invigoration, and Airmen Powered Innovation (API) inputs.
  • Establish and lead briefings with directors, division and branch chiefs, and action officers to review and establish courses of action to implement initiatives to include preparatory meetings for directorate leadership prior to Logistics Council/Board/Working Group conference calls and TDYs.
  • Write, develop, and publish guidance on behalf of directorate leadership to communicate priorities with regards to initiatives within the command.
  • Support development of headquarters directives.
  • Provide briefings, papers, reports, memorandums, and documentation on the support provided for the A4 Directorate. Prepare General Officer level briefings, presentations, and white papers.
  • Provide support for policy and guidance development for AFGSC response plans, instruction and checklists dealing with contingencies IAW DOD, USNORTHCOM and USSTRATCOM requirements.
  • Provide other technical and programmatic support as requested by AFGSC/A4.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft or ICBM Logistics/ Maintenance/ Sustainment experience.
  • DoD Secret clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.

HIGHLY DESIRED

  • 15+ years of aircraft or ICBM Logistics/ Maintenance/ Sustainment experience.
  • Air Force Headquarters or NAF level experience.
