Position Description:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for multiple administrative and program support functions for various TWC programs. Specifically, the coordinator will build class rosters, manage classroom scheduling, and support faculty before and during the semester. In addition, the coordinator will oversee the application of students’ final evaluations, upload and edit content on TWC’s student learning platforms, and assist with general program outreach and administration.

TWC is a majority remote organization: for most employees, employment with TWC will not be contingent on physical presence in an office space. However, TWC does have some physical space in Washington, D.C. and the individual in this role will be expected to work in Washington DC regularly.

Essential Functions listed in order of importance:


JOB FUNCTION

COURSE ADMINSTRATION

  • Manage the academic course program schedule and calendar for the academic courses program each semester/term, working with The Executive Director of Workforce Readiness & Programs to establish processes on schedule for current and upcoming terms

  • Build class rosters and manage the add/drop process each term in collaboration with the Executive Director, Workforce Readiness & Programs

  • Manage communications between TWC, faculty and students in email correspondence and telephone communications, use sound judgment to solve problems proactively and/or to refer them to the next level as needed

  • In collaboration with the Executive Director of Workforce Readiness & Programs, assist with effective interdepartmental communication flows that inform the organization about course-related changes, policies, and timelines.

EVALUATIONS AND GRADE MANAGEMENT

  • In collaboration with Operations and the Executive Director of Workforce Readiness & Programs, assist with the course evaluation process at the end of each term for every course

  • Collaborate with The Executive Director of Workforce Readiness & Programs and Program Managers to establish effective internship final evaluation schedules and timelines. Supervise the implementation of the evaluations through Skill Survey

  • Work with Enrollment Services to collect and finalize all grade reports for evening courses and other programs (as needed)

FACULTY SUPPORT

  • Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Workforce Readiness & Programs, coordinate faculty onboarding and orientation. Offer low-level support throughout the semester.

  • Work with HR to complete hiring paperwork and setting up each faculty member into necessary systems (e.g., LMS, email)

  • Assist The Executive Director of Workforce Readiness & Programs with faculty training and development opportunities during the semester
