Specific job responsibilities and goals include but are not limited to:
- Direct Care position responsible for the supervision of clients (10 to 17 years) in a residential program.
- Oversee assigned shift tasks including facility maintenance, food service, and client supervision.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of clerical responsibilities.
- Assess and respond to critical situations with on-call support and consultation.
- Act as role model for appropriate behavior.
- Supervise and maintain shift operations, including staffing and paperwork.
- Provide direct supervision for residents, including chore assignments and tasks.
- Report unusual behavior and maintain order among residents.
- Monitor residents' whereabouts and notify authorities when necessary.
- Lead group discussions and plan recreational activities.
- Complete monitoring notes, incident reports, and client case records.
- Handle intake process for new residents.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Education and Experience:
Highschool diploma or GED, 2+ years of direct work experience with adolescents. Work experience in a Residential setting preferred. Florida driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
Physical Requirements:
Requires a high degree of physical activity including the ability to run, jump, bend, and stand for significant time periods (2+ hours), lift and carry 50+ pounds. The ability to travel on a regional basis as needed for training and transport.
