Purchasing Administrative Assistant

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
This position will support the activities of the purchasing department and perform administrative duties.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and updating Excel documents related to purchases. related to purchases.
- Assist in the purchasing of natural stone, granite, marble, limestone, variety of sinks, etc. in the purchasing of natural stone, granite, marble, limestone, variety of sinks, etc.
- Work closely with vendors, production, and account coordinators via email and phone., production and account coordinators via email and phone.
- Maintain files and records.
- Plan and track the shipment of final products accordingly to customer requirements.
- Verify, review, and reconcile documents and reports about inventory.
- Coordinate and order materials.
- Coordinate shipments.
- Work closely with Office Manager of Purchasing as needed Office Manager of Purchasing as needed.
- Prioritize tracking of all purchase orders from beginning to endpurchase orders from beginning to end.
- Perform daily office tasks, including but not limited to filing and purchase orders to filing and purchase orders

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING):
Required Education:
- High school diploma required required.
Required Experience:
- 1+ years of prior purchasing experience required
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years administrative experience preferred/purchasing experience preferred.
- Prior warehouse, transportation, or logistics experience in the stone industry is a plus. logistics experience in stone industry is a plus.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with standard procurement concepts, best practices and techniques practices, and techniques.

Work Environment:
This position will be performed in an office environment.
Physical Demands:

There is little to no travel expected for this position beyond commuting.
