Job Description:
Your job is to work as part of the team in the bakery, making biscuits, brioche and cakes and producing other high-quality menu items. We are looking for talented individuals that thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will create and scale and bake all food according to the recipe; maintain a clean station and adhere to all kitchen maintenance and sanitation standards; have an up-to-date knowledge of the menu (including preparation, ingredients and presentation); follow proper methods for preparing and baking food; andmore.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be familiar with all phases of food preparation and related techniques. You must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must be able to uphold company standards related to appearance and dress. Must have at least one year prior experience in a kitchen in the pastry/bakery field.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL ANDENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects up to 100 lbs. Manual dexterity to include using kitchen utensils and handling food items. Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing, and be able to withstand hot and/or close environment. Must be able to work at a fast pace, and to respond to visual and aural cues.
This is a part-time to full-time(January) position with Saturday and Sunday work required.
Shift starts for 5AM .
Baker responsibilities
Scaling ingredients
Mixing
Pastry shaping
Baking
Cake decorating
Cinnamon roll baking and icing
Cleaning
Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time for opening.
Qualifications and Skills
Professional training in bread baking and/or at least 2 years work experience with breads.
Ability to read and follow recipes
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Must be able to adhere to health and safety regulations Speed and sense of urgency Ability to get along well with others and a strong sense of teamwork
