Potential Inc.'s Maintenance Technician will be responsible for custodial and facilities-related duties as directed by the Office Manager across multiple office locations (Newtown, Levittown, Warminster).


Facilities Maintenance Duties

  • Procure supplies and materials necessary for regular repair and maintenance of facilities.
  • Painting of common areas, as needed.
  • Patch/repair walls, doors, and wall moldings, as needed.
  • Secure and/or hang all clinic/school related banners, pictures, corkboards, etc.
  • Regular repair and replacement tasks as needed.
  • Maintain integrity of facilities including but not limited to windows, doors, furniture and the school van.
  • Check regularly for unwanted pests and remove/replace traps as necessary.

Clean and maintain all common areas within the facility

  • Vacuuming and sweeping of common areas and classrooms.
  • Light cleaning and sanitization of bathrooms.
  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators as needed in staff and cafeteria areas.
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
  • Maintain janitor closets and equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner.
  • Maintain closets in a clean, organized and safe manner with the assistance of the administrative assistant.
  • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
  • Cleaning inside of windows regularly.

Ensure all supplies are stocked and available to staff

  • Order cleaning and vending supplies as necessary through Office Manager.
  • Refill disinfectant spray bottles as needed and ensure every classroom and common area has its own bottle.
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Standard office/school/clinic environment with no particular workplace hazards
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to move for up to 95% of the shift

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with current automobile insurance and registration and the ability to travel within the community throughout the workday with full-time access to an automobile
  • Available to work 15-20 hours per week (primarily Monday - Friday with some evening and weekend availability required for projects difficult to complete while school is in session)
